~ MEET MERCY ~
P L E A S E    P R A Y   F O R   H E R!
MERCY HAS NOW BEEN ADOPTED AND HAS HER VERY OWN MOMMY & DADDY!

11/4/2013 We have named her Mercy for God has certainly shown her His Mercy by allowing her to survive. You see Mercy was found in the street yesterday and it appears she has been hit by a car. Through a collaborative effort by many (thank you Jackie and Bianca.) we were able to get her transported up from Miami to Palm City in record speed. My Vet (Dr. Mary Bressman from All Creatures Animal Hospital in Stuart, FL) opened her doors at 9PM to examin her and we got her on pain medication and resting comfortably for the remainder of the night.

11/5/2013 This morning X-rays revealed she has a fractured skull and may have suffered some brain damage. So at this point we simply do not know what prognosis there will be for her. So we ask you all to pray. She is not walking, not eating and is hooked up to an IV for proper medication and fluids.

11/6/2013 - Afternoon Visit... a Prayer vigil was held for Mercy by all of our Facebook Fans from 4:15 to 4:30 yesterday. I sat quietly with Mercy and we all prayed for her recovery. While I was there she did not get up, move, raise her head... it was so pitiful. The movie below shows the photos and videos of when she first arrived and my prayer visit with her yesterday afternoon... there are TWO videos below. Please make sure you watch them both!

11/8/2013 - Mercy has now been discharged and is spending her time with Kit in foster care. She has begun to start to eat on her own. We do not know how long it will take her to heal. Will keep you updated.

11/19/2013 - It has been ten days now and Mercy is finally starting to eat and si gaining weight. When I first brought her home she would only walk in circles but just recently she has begun walking in straight lines so the swelling in her brain must have gone down and she seems so much better now. The video on the bottom of this page shows how much better she is walking these days. I am so excited! What a wonderful miracle!

11/29/2013 Mercy has made a complete and full recovery. She was dopted in April 2014.

An hour after I left the Hospital I received a call from our Vet that Mercy was up and walking around and that it was totally unexpected and very surprising that she had rebounded like this. We are over joyed with her progress. More updates tomorrow.

Mercy came home today (11/8/2013) and finally got a well deserved bath to remove the stench, ticks and dried blood off of her. She took a few steps in the kitchen before plopping back down on the floor. A little progress each day.

When I first brought her home she would only walk in circles but just recently she has begun walking in straight lines so the swelling in her brain must have gone down and she seems so much better now. This video shows how much better she is walking these days. I am so excited! What a wonderful miracle!  As soon as she is well enough she iwll be spayed, vaccinated and have her teeth cleaned.
